01 Who we are and scope

This policy explains how Forests Market LLC and the issuers (together, we) handle personal data when you use forests.market. Depending on your location, this policy is designed to meet U.S. requirements and Costa Rica's data-protection law (Law 8968). For most processing, Forests Market acts as controller; for certain investor records the issuers are joint or independent controllers.

02 Data we collect

• Account and contact data — name, email, phone, organization, role.
• Identity and compliance data — government ID, date of birth, nationality, address, beneficial ownership, accreditation/Reg S status, PEP and sanctions results, and source-of-funds information (KYC/AML).
• Financial and transaction data — subscription details, payment/bank and wallet identifiers, and transaction history.
• Technical and usage data — device, IP address, log and analytics data, and cookie identifiers.
• Communications — messages and support requests.

03 How and why we use it (legal bases)

• To perform the contract — to open your account, process your subscription and deliver Tokens.
• To comply with legal obligations — KYC/AML, sanctions, securities and tax obligations (a legal requirement we cannot waive).
• For legitimate interests — operating, securing and improving the Platform and preventing fraud.
• With your consent — for non-essential cookies and certain communications, which you may withdraw.

04 On-chain data

No personally identifying information is written to the public blockchain. On-chain records contain non-identifying references only; your identity, status and valuation data are kept in our internal records. A wallet address is pseudonymous but may, with other data, relate to you.

05 How we share data

We share personal data, under appropriate safeguards, with: identity/KYC and sanctions-screening vendors; the wallet-infrastructure provider; payment-service providers and banks; auditors, professional advisers and counsel; and regulators or authorities where legally required. Our service providers act as processors under contract. We do not sell your personal data.

06 International transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States, Costa Rica and other countries where we or our providers operate.

07 Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations. KYC/AML and transaction records are generally retained for at least five years after the end of the relationship, and longer where a longer period is required.

08 Security

We apply administrative, technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for safeguarding your own login credentials and device.

09 Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to certain processing. Some rights are limited by our legal obligations — for example, we must retain KYC/AML records even if you ask for deletion. Costa Rica residents have rights before PRODHAB under Law 8968. 10 Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies:

• Strictly necessary — required for login, security and core functionality; always on.
• Preferences — remember settings such as theme.
• Analytics — help us understand usage and improve the Platform; set only with your consent where required.

You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner and your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Platform.

11 Children; changes; contact
